Prevention
Evaluation Initiative
CHRP and State Office of AIDS (OA)/Prevention Branch have
been collaborating on the California Prevention Evaluation
Initiative (CPEI) since 1998. The CPEI provides support
for a range of prevention research and dissemination
activities in California, and is organized around three
core projects: community collaborative research; research
dissemination; and prevention indicator synthesis.
The Community
Collaborative Research Project provides funding
for partnerships between researchers and HIV prevention
services providers participating in behavioral risk,
outcome evaluation, and translation research projects.
To date, 26 projects have been funded.
The Prevention
Research Dissemination Project provides support
for dissemination of research findings and resource
materials generated from the Collaborative Research
Projects. Research Dissemination Modules are available
on this website.
The Prevention Indicator Synthesis
Project is focused on a compilation and synthesis of
information on HIV prevention indicators for monitoring
and assessing progress toward preventing HIV infection
in California.
