The
California Collaborations in HIV Prevention Research Dissemination
Project represents collaboration at its best research
and community experts working together to meet challenges and
achieve critical prevention and research goals. The modules
in the Dissemination Project focus on prevention research
projects that represent partnerships among funders, scientists,
and front-line community service providers. The 26 modules are
presented over the next few years in three areas: Behavioral
Risk Research, Intervention Outcome Research and Translation
Research. Modules include the following: (1) research findings
on risk behaviors among high priority populations; (2) models
used in evaluation and research; (3) techniques for recruitment
and training; (4) characteristics of successful collaboration;
and (5) details of HIV/AIDS prevention interventions (only in
forthcoming intervention outcome models).

Materials used in the research projects (e.g. questionnaires,
interview guides, marketing materials, intervention protocols
and methods) are included with the modules. This Dissemination
Project is designed to be used as a resource by local health
departments, community-based organizations (CBOs), evaluators
and researchers. The modules are available in print form and
as downloadable documents on this website. The modules are in
PDF format and appendix materials from the modules are available
in MS Word for easy downloading and printing.
