CHRP Announces 2008-2009 Funding Cycle
The California HIV/AIDS Research Program will be implementing the following new funding cycle beginning with its 2008-2009 research grant awards.
- August, 2008 - Call for Applications Released
- November, 2008 - Applications Due
- February, 2009 - New Awards Announced
- April, 2009 - Funding Period Begins
It’s anticipated that when released, the 2008-2009 Call for Applications will incorporate new and strengthened grant mechanisms and targeted funding opportunities in each of four scientific content areas:
- Systems of Prevention and Care;
- Social/Behavioral;
- Clinical; and
- Basic Biomedical.
An extensive public input process, currently being implemented as part of the program’s new strategic plan, will help inform the funding opportunities to be announced with the issuance of the August, 2008 Call for Applications.
During this transition in funding cycles, all current CHRP grantees will continue with originally agreed upon project periods, reporting and continuation funding dates. Please contact your CHRP Program Officer with questions specific to active awards.
