UARP Has a New Name!
Embarking on its 25th year, the Universitywide AIDS Research Program has changed its name to California HIV/AIDS Research Program (CHRP). The new name more clearly reflects the Program’s ongoing commitment to advancing research in HIV/AIDS throughout the State of California. CHRP will continue its mission to fund innovative basic, clinical, social, behavioral, health services and policy research, and to provide scientific leadership by convening California stakeholders from diverse backgrounds with expertise in addressing the HIV-related issues impacting California and people living with the disease. The name change also signals some new directions and opportunities through CHRP. AIDS Partnership California (APC) joined CHRP (then UARP) in March 2007, and additional funding partnerships supporting targeted research priorities to keep California at the forefront of addressing the HIV epidemic are on the horizon. Please look through our website for the latest news and activities, and contact us with further questions. Our phone, email and postal address remain the same. We look forward to continuing to work with all HIV/AIDS investigators and communities throughout California and the nation.
